Watch the first 5 minutes of 'Cloverfield'

Wanna see the first few minutes of January's most anticipated new movie? Sure you do. Well, here you go.

Below you can view the beginning five minutes of Cloverfield as well as a brief introduction by producer J.J. Abrams.

Some of these same info can be seen in the trailer but it's interesting to see here in its full context -- well, sort of. The footage has me recalling all the post-9/11 New York footage. The shaky, motion sickness-inducing camerawork is also reminiscent of The Blair Witch Project.

Of course the video clip doesn't really offer a much better view of the Cloverfield monster than what we've seen previously. I guess we'll have to wait until Jan. 18 to get a complete image of this gargantuan.
