Our new favorite movie blog /Film (that's Slash Film) has a report on the most anticipated movies of the next year. That's "the next year" as in the next 365 days, not 2008.

The list comes from a survey of 2,000 theater-goers conducted by MovieTickets.com.

  1. Starship Dave
  2. Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium
  3. Bee Movie
  4. Step Brothers
  5. Speed Racer
  6. The Incredible Hulk
  7. Mamma Mia!
  8. His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass
  9. Beowulf
  10. Hancock
  11. Charlie Wilson's War
  12. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
  13. Get Smart
  14. I Am Legend
  15. Iron Man
  16. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
  17. American Gangster
  18. National Treasure: Book of Secrets
  19. The Dark Knight
  20. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls

Unlike Slash Film's Peter Sciretta, I'm not shocked to see Indy at the top of the list. It's the new installment of a much-loved and celebrated franchise. We haven't seen a new release like that since what -- Star Wars: Episode I? Perhaps Live Free or Die Hard.

I am a little surprised to not see J.J. Abrams' untitled monster movie (commonly referred to as Cloverfield) on the list. Wait a sec... Why should I be surprised? That's what you get for promoting a movie without freaking title!

To see exactly when in the next 365 days these movies are being released in theaters, click on each title. You can even sign up to be notified when each is announced for DVD.
