Jon Stewart tapped to host Oscars again

If there's one thing that always rings true in Hollywood, it's that it is never too early to start talking Oscar. And this week signaled the start of Oscar talk with confirmation that Gil Cates would produce his record 14th Academy Awards show on February 24, 2008.

Variety reports that comedian Jon Stewart will return to take on the hosting duties for the second time. "I'm thrilled to be asked to host the Academy Awards for the second time because, as they say, the third time's the charm," quipped Stewart.

Stewart hosted the Oscars in 2006, while Ellen DeGeneres had the honor this year.
