Larry Wachowski: Is he or isn't she?

Sometimes being a media recluse is advantageous, while at other times it can lead to some very interesting stories. Such is the case of The Matrix director Larry Wachowski.

Earlier this week, reports started circulating around the Net that Larry had completed an alleged sex change operation and was now known as Lana. It was a slow news week, what with the holiday and all.

Meanwhile, Larry/Lana was in Germany filming the family film Speed Racer. A confirmation or a denial was hard to come by.

Now, Fox News is reporting that they've uncovered the hoax and there's no more truth to it than the "Paul is Dead" rumors. Paul McCartney is still very much alive.

Of course, the stories of Larry leaving his wife for a Hollywood dominatrix and desire to have a sex change have been circulating tinsel town for quite some time. What's the truth? Only time and a well-paid paparazzo will tell.
