New DVD announcements: Disturbia, Meet the Robinsons ...and more

Enough of the Batman talk. Let's get to some newly announced DVDs.

Here are some notable movies and TV shows that were recently announced for DVD. Click on any 'em to sign for a free reminder email when they are actually released.

Not since Rear Window has voyeurism been so thrilling. Disturbia comes to DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-ray on Aug. 7. Included on the disc are: commentary with Shia LaBeouf, Sarah Roemer and the director, lots of deleted scenes, something called "Serial Pursuit Trivia Pop-up", bloopers, a This World Fair music video, and more.

The Disney animated movie Meet the Robinsons will come to DVD and Blu-ray on Oct. 23. Bonus features include deleted scenes, director audio commentary, Rob Thomas and Jonas Brothers music videos, interactive game, and several featurettes.

The critically-acclaimed film Year of the Dog makes it to DVD on Aug 28. The Molly Shannon-starring and Mike White-directed comedy contains numerous deleted scenes, outtakes, and commentary with the aforementioned duo.

The 1972 film Deliverance gets the deluxe treatment in a new release coming to DVD, HD-DVD, and Blu-ray on Sept. 18. This single disc edition has a lot of bonus features we know nothing about at this time. Sorry!

The Adult Swim animated sketch comedy show Robot Chicken has its second season DVD released on Sept. 4. This hilarious second season includes the Emperor Palpatine-Darth Vader collect call plus other internet, video game, and pop culture-inspired shorts.

The FX series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia shines on DVD starting Sept. 4. The set sounds both the first and second seasons of the comedy. Danny DeVito joined the cast in the second year.
