Harry Potter 7 finally gets a title

For all the muggles out there, this holiday season just got a whole lot sweeter. Through her official website (jkrowling.com) Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has revealed the title of the seventh and final book/movie in the series.

The title is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and fits in line with the dark and ominous tone of the last installment. Rowling has previously stated that two characters that she planned to survive the book now die and that one predestined for death survives.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book is due out some time next year, while the film incarnation will probably hit screens in the Summer of 2010. Stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson are expected to complete the series, but none of them are officially attached at this point.
