'Transformers' teaser trailer is here

In case you haven't heard, Michael Bay is directing a live-action movie of The Transformers, set for release next year. And since we're in teasing sort of mood this week, we wanted to pass along details of the just-released teaser trailer for the upcoming film.

The video -- available through the official site which is pretty slow due to all the traffic -- only offers a rough glimpse of the mechanized characters. It shows a Mars rover getting trounced by a silhouetted Decepticon. Well, we can only assume it's a Decepticon; non of Optimus Prime's Autobot clan would do anything so rash.

Transformers arrives in theaters next July 4.
