Spielberg's next gig? The Olympics

Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg will join Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou in creating the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2008 Summer Olympic games that will be held in Beijing, China. Zhang Yimou is best known for directing House of Flying Daggers and has declared that he will take a two year sabbatical from filmmaking to concentrate his entire focus on the Olympics.

The long-delayed Indiana Jones 4 is rumored to be the next film on Spielberg's directorial plate. It is unclear if his commitment to the Olympic ceremonies will affect his future projects.
