The Hanks family getting 'Buck'

Tom Hanks and his son Colin are set to star in the new project The Great Buck Howard. The film marks the first time that Hanks family will work together in prinicipal starring roles. Colin previously had a bit part in dad's That Thing You Do!, Tom's directorial debut in which he also played a major part.

The Great Buck Howard chronicles the life and apprenticeship of a young magician who learns his trade from veteran illusionist whose popularity is on the decline much to the chagrin of his father. Colin will play the titular Buck with the elder Hanks imitating his real life as Buck's dad. Kevin Kline is in final negotiations to play the magician that tutors Buck.
