'Clerks 2' begins filming

Kevin Smith began filming yesterday (October 10th) on Clerks 2: The Passion of the Clerks, the follow-up to his break-through hit that checks in on our favorite minimum wage workers 10 years after the events of Clerks.

The low-budget sequel features Brian O'Halloran and Jeff Anderson reprising their roles of Dante and Randal respectively commenting on their lives and the state of the world around them as a whole. Clerks launched a legion of die-hard Kevin Smith fans and a sub-culture movement best known as the View Askewniverse.

View Askew newcomer Rosario Dawson rounds out the cast. Clerks 2 is set to hit theaters late next year.
