'Fantastic 4' to arrive on DVD and UMD on Dec. 6

The latest in the stable of Marvel Comic movie adaptations, Fantastic 4, is set for release on DVD and UMD on Dec. 6. The action/sci-fi film starring Jessica Alba and Ioan Gruffudd stretched its way to over $150 at the summer box office.

While not officially deemed a "special edition" release, the single-disc DVD (available in either widescreen or full-screen formats) will contain a spattering of special features including three deleted scenes and commentary from the cast. There will be a slight difference in bonus features on the widescreen edition versus the full-screen release.

Here is a rundown of the features of both DVD releases that will each carry a $29.98 suggested retail price:

Widescreen Feature

In addition to the DVDs, the film will be released in the UMD format for play on Sony's PSP system. It will also carry a SRP of $29.98. And unlike fellow Fox film Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, a VHS release is also scheduled.
