Jacko's Chocolate Factory?

Johnny Depp seemed to channel Keith Richards for his performance in 2003's The Pirates of the Caribbean, a likeness that Depp himself confirmed. In fact, rumor has it, that Richards will play Depp's dad in the sequels.

But, in his latest role, the singular impression the public is getting from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory may land Depp and Warner Bros. in hot water. Many moviegoers are seeing Depp's pale skin, long black hair, whispy voice and penchant for extravagant suits and the first image that pops into their heads is the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson - not exactly a timely, kid-friendly comparison.

Depp vehemently denies the connection insisting that he drew upon kid show hosts Mr. Rogers and Captain Kangaroo for inspiration. Ultimately, the audience will judge on July 15th, when Charlie and the Chocolate Factory hits theaters.
