Eva Longoria tops the Maxim Hot 100

ABC's Desperate Housewives is the TV hit of the season and the editors at Maxim think star Eva Longoria is a big reason for its success -- with men. The men's monthly put Longoria in the number one spot of their sixth annual Hot 100 list of women. Longoria was ranked 91 in last year's list.

Apparently ABC lobbied Maxim very strongly this year as the number two and three slots were also held by stars of the network's top shows. Evangeline Lilly from Lost held down the second spot and Alias' Jennifer Garner was third.

Last year's number one, Jessica Simpson, is ranked ninth this year.
