Spielberg helped out on 'Revenge of the Sith'

As if the final trailer for Revenge of the Sith weren't reason enough to go get in line for the last installment of the Star Wars franchise, it was leaked out today the Steven Spielberg was involved to some degree.

"The Making of the Revenge of the Sith" author J.W. Rinzler was interviewed on the official site, StarWars.com, and elaborated on Spielberg's contribution. "As George explains in the book, he gave Spielberg a few scenes to play with at the animatics stage... How much of Spielberg's contribution made it to the final film, only Lucas or Spielberg could say."

Spielberg and Lucas are old friends who collaborated on the Indiana Jones movies among others. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith is due in theaters on May 19th, 2005.
