'National Treasure' going international?

It seems that Disney is keeping with Hollywood tradition by following up a blockbuster with an inevitable sequel with breakout hit National Treasure.

The film's director Jon Turteltaub confirmed on a Chinese news site that writers are being brought in to work up potential sequel ideas for the Nic Cage action thriller. While nothing has been set in stone, Turteltaub expressed his desire that a sequel should take the action overseas to a romantic and mystical country such as China.

The director was in China to promote the theatrical release of the movie in that country this Friday.
