'Shrek 3' bumped to 2007

It seems like perfect logic to me. If you move some Cars around, you're bound to disturb a Shrek or two. Last week's decision to move Disney and Pixar's upcoming Cars from November 2005 to June 9, 2006 is having repercussions in Shrek's swamp.

Shrek 3, originally on the slate for a November 2006 release, didn't like the proximity of Disney and Pixar's final release from their expired partnership and moved to greener pastures. While the move will cause fans another 6 months of waiting, it positions Shrek 3 in the same May-theatrical/November-video release window that was enormously successful for its predecessors.
