Was 'The Village' pillaged?

While the average movie-goer might not have expected the big twist in M. Night Shyamalan's latest thriller The Village, a couple children's book readers found the whole experience a little too much like deja vu.

Publisher Simon & Schuster has indicated that it may file a lawsuit against Shymalan claiming that the filmmaker heavily borrowed his ideas for the film from the book "Running Out Of Time" by Margaret Peterson Haddix.
