Depp eyes Richards for 'Pirates 2'

While actor Johnny Depp enjoyed a fair amount of critical and Oscar buzz for his best Keith Richards impersonation in last year's Pirates Of The Caribbean, it appears that Johnny is attempting to show his gratitude to the ageless rocker.

Reports are circulating in Hollywood that Depp is talking up movie bosses about a possible role for Richards as his character's father. Nothing is certain as of yet, but it would make for an interesting screen pairing.

The Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is tentatively scheduled for a Summer 2006 release. Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom are already locked in with Depp for the sequel.
