Pictures of the new Batmobile unveiled

Batman has a hot new set of wheels. And he's showing off pictures of it on his official Warner Bros. web site.

The trouble is, that's all he's giving away on the web. No text. No information. Not a bit of description on the beastly-looking machine. From the photos, it looks more like a tank or earthmover than the sleek Batmobile we've come to know.

Of course, this morsel of info from next year's Batman Begins starring Christian Bale has sent the Internet community into a tizzy. However, the reviews are very mixed. One fan site posting described the front as looking like the DeLorean from Back To The Future.

Some fans believe this to be The Tumbler, an early version of the Batmobile to be modified by Bruce Wayne in the film. After all, this movie is the early history of the Dark Knight.

All we want to know is how many miles to the gallon does this thing get?
