It's been awhile since we ran an update on Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back because, mainly, there really hasn't been anything to write about. But today is different. We've culminated a few tidbits for today's post.

First, post-production seems to be right on schedule. Kevin Smith's first cut of the movie came in at 2 hours and 15 minutes. A little long for a comedy, so there's still some trimming to be done. Also, Entertainment Weekly ran a summer movie piece and confirmed that Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back is still on a collision course with American Pie II, both set to debut on August 10th, at theaters.

And finally, Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back is quickly becoming known as the movie with a million cameos, but this latest cameo uncovered is surely for the most die-hard fans. Those Smith followers that have been with him from his black and white Clerks glory days will be happy to know that the philosophical roofer, who pointed out that any contractors killed on the second Death Star were justly killed because personal politics play a big role in deciding on jobs, will be making a return in the final movie. How did this full-circle cameo come to be? Well, by coincidence actually. Thomas, the roofer just happened to be buying milk in the Quick Stop on the day that Smith was filming the final days of Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back. One thing led to another and a few small moments of glee will be had by fan boys everywhere on August 10th.
