Jake Gyllenhaal buzzes 'Green Hornet'

Last Summer, talented actor and Kirsten Dunst boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal flirted with the possibility of taking over the role of Spider-Man when Tobey Maguire's back problems from shooting Seabiscuit threatened his status in the sequel. Well, it looks like Jake may have found a superhero to call his own.

Reports are circulating that writer/director Kevin Smith is supporting Gyllenhaal for the role of Dily Sentinel publisher turned crime fighter Britt Reid in The Green Hornet. Miramax is producing the film with a tentative release planned for August 2005.
