Strikes Will Hit LA's Wallet...BIG

Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan ordered a study to see just exactly how the possible strike will impact the city of the stars. Let's just say, LA could quickly fade into the city of darkness.

Such a high percentage of the city works in some faucet of the entertainment industry, the dollar amount Mayor Riordan released falls in the $457 million dollars a week, between Hollywood and other California businesses.

The strike basically calls for the Writers' Guild of America to get more money for its' writers when their programs are rebroadcast and distributed on video, DVD and the Internet.
