Barbra Streisand as mother 'Focker'?

Believe it or not Babs might be returning to the big screen and this time she'll grin and bear it. Actor James Brolin, who is married to Barbra Streisand, let the cat out of the bag while on the red carpet for Sunday's Golden Globe ceremony.

When asked point blank if his wife is going to do Meet The Fockers, Brolin replied "I know she's reading it." The movie in question is the highly anticipated sequel to 2000's smash comic hit Meet The Parents. In the original movie, Ben Stiller meets prospective fiance Teri Polo's parents, played brilliantly by Robert De Niro and Blythe Danner, for the first time with hilarious results.

In Meet The Fockers, the tables are turned and everyone gets to meet Ben Stiller's parents. Dustin Hoffman has already been cast as father Focker and Babs would play his wife.

The movie is set to shoot thie Spring for holiday 2004 release.
