It's a boy for Russell Crowe

It looks like long nights ahead for the Gladiator . Russell Crowe and wife Danielle Spencer welcomed their new baby boy into the world on Sunday.

The child weighed 6 lb, 2 oz and was named Charles Spencer Crowe. Both mother and child are doing fine.

The on-again, off-again couple were finally married in April of this year and Crowe has vowed to take some time off to support his new family. As part of his devotion, he has vowed not to attend any awards shows this season. Russell was nominated for the Best Actor in a Drama Golden Globe award for his role in Master And Commander.
