It seems that director Cameron Crowe and actor Ashton Kutcher won't be working together afterall. Kutcher was set to star opposite Kirsten Dunst in Elizabethtown, but Crowe has changed his mind.

Allegedly, according to various reports, the director didn't think that Kutcher could cut the mustard in the role. In fact, supposedly, the director even suggested that the young actor invest in some acting classes. Kutcher claims that the shooting schedule caused a conflict with his work on the TV series 'That 70s Show' and he had to pull out.

This move represents the second missed opportunity in the last few months. Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh passed on Kutcher when he had doubts that the young actor "was up to par professionally" for the role.
