There is no doubt that Pixar and Disney have caught a big one with Finding Nemo. The film has become the number one film at the box office this year with over $330 million in revenue.
Now this fish tale has set records for first-day DVD sales. The two-disc set sold 8 million units on Tuesday bettering the record set by Pixar's own Monsters Inc. which sold 5 million on its first day of availability.
Pixar estimates that Nemo will now become the biggest selling video and DVD of 2003 as well as the top-selling DVD of all time.
Pixar (and Apple) CEO Steve Jobs said, "We couldn't be more excited about the overwhelming success of Finding Nemo."
