Jesus hit by lightning

Surely giving new meaning to the phrase, "God will strike you dead," it was revealed this week that on the set of The Passion Of Christ Jim Caviezel, who portrays Jesus Christ in the film, was struck by lightning. Producer Jim McEveety elaborated "I'm about a hundred feet away from him when I glance over and see lightning coming out of Caviezel's ears."

Mel Gibson's project tells the last few hours of Christ's life before his crucifixion and has come under fire as of late by Jewish leaders who fear that the movie's subject matter might spur anti-Semitism.
