Freddy and Jason look for other combatants

You can almost see the Hollywood cattle call now. A mish-mash of horror's heaviest hitters in the waiting room. Freddy and Jason behind a folding table holding auditions for Freddy Vs. Jason 2.

After Freddy Vs. Jason nabbed over $80 million at the box office, another tete-a-tete between the horror icons was inevitable. The rumor out of New Line is that they're seriously considering adding another combatant to the mix. While it would certainly be entertaining to see the Leprechaun wield his lucky charms or Chucky do his best Jon Gruden impersonation, the smart money is on Ash from the Evil Dead series of films.

We should know more as New Line moves in the script direction in the next few months. Right now, the speculation says that the Ash scenario is the only one that they're considering for the time being.
