Halle Berry splits from her husband

It appears that Hollywood's latest it actress Halle Berry will soon be back on the market. Halle and her husband Eric Benet announced yesterday that they have split after two plus years of marriage.

Many factors seem to have led to this breakup, but the most telling sign may have the fact that their careers are going in separate directions. Berry is the hottest actress in Hollywood after winning an Oscar for her role in 1991's Monster's Ball. Eric, on the other hand has seen his life spiral down into depression after he admitted that he cheated on Berry. A stint in rehab for his sexual addiction seemed to make things better for awhile, but he hit a new low when his new attempt at pursuing his musical career failed.

Halle, a former runner-up for Ms. USA, was married to ex-baseball player turned commentator David Justice in the early 1990s.
