Billy is back as Oscars host

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (a.k.a. "The Academy") has announced that actor and funnyman Billy Crystal will be back as the host of the 76th Academy Awards in 2004.

This will be the eighth Oscar emcee gig for Crystal. He last hosted in 2000. Whoopi Goldberg and Steve Martin have each hosted in recent years.

The usually long, but mostly entertaining, ceremony will be held on Feb. 29, 2004.
