Academy stresses ethics to its voters

If you happen to be a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, you probably received an eight page pamphlet in the mail today that calls for more ethics in the voting for the annual Academy Awards. The tome asked that nominees refrain from, or curtail altogether, the annual Oscar campaigns.
If fact, the pamphlet went so far as to ask members to voluntarily give up their right to trash talk the competition. The decree went on to state that nominees should use better judgment when attending parties and to not vote in categories in which they have not seen all the nominated films.
And to think, I thought Hollywood was the liberal capital of the world...
