Jessica Biel unsheathes her 'Blade'

Jessica Biel is best known for playing a preacher's daughter, but she'll definitely be able to sink her teeth in her next role. New Line is pursuing the young actress to play a lead character in the third Blade movie.

She is in line to portray Abigail, the daughter of Kris Kristofferson's Whistler character who died in both of the previous movies. If Biel takes the part, she'll join Wesley Snipes who returns as the titular character and Ryan Reynolds, who plays an unknown character.

Filming is scheduled to begin next month in Vancouver.
