Critics and moviegoers everywhere are bashing Gigli as one of the worst films ever. They've officially added it to the ranks of Battlefield Earth and The Adventures of Pluto Nash as the stinker of the season, just like those from previous summers. Now one of its stars, Ben Affleck, is joining the Gigli-haters.

At a press junket for The Battle of Shaker Heights, a movie from Affleck and Matt Damon's Project Greenlight, he fessed up. "It wasn't good, and we got buried," Affleck said.

Of course he tried to keep things kosher with fiancée Jennifer Lopez by adding, "I think the acting is good... but I don't think, ultimately, the movie held up as a whole."

Affleck responded with a few jabs back at the critics who royally bashed the movie. "I think there was a critical 'slam-dunk contest,'" he said. "Like some [critic] was saying, 'I have been saving up this one turn of phrase all summer.' But that's part of the deal."

He added a salvo for his upcoming film, Jersey Girl, which features a smaller role from J.Lo. "I think Jersey Girl is a really good movie," Affleck said of the movie written and directed by long-time pal Kevin Smith.
