Hollywood legend Gregory Peck died in his sleep last night in his Los Angeles home. The Academy Award winner was 87.

Best known for his Oscar winning turn as Atticus Finch in To Kill A Mockingbird, Peck appeared in almost 60 films during his prolific film career that stretched over 7 decades. Among his film highlights are two versions of Moby Dick and both versions of Cape Fear. He also starred in Roman Holiday, Spellbound, Captain Horatio Hornblower, Twelve O'Clock High and MacArthur.

He leaves behind his wife Veronique and four children from his two marriages. Movie fans everywhere mourn the loss of a legend tonight.
