Tim Burton to take on 'Willy Wonka'

Talk about the bizarre leading the bizarre. Director Tim Burton has been tapped to direct a live action adaptation of Charlie And The Chocolate Version, a children's novel by Roald Dahl.

You might recognize the subject matter as it was previously adapted in the classic 1971 film Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. No word yet on who will play Willy, Charlie and Grandpa Joe, but I'm sure with Burton behind the wheel, there's no telling where the casting bus will stop.

I can see it now...Oompa Loompa's with long, sharp scissors on their hands.
