November 4, 2003. Mark this day on your calendar. Circle it twice. This will be a monumental day in home video history. This is the day that Indiana Jones debuts on DVD.

If DVD collectors had their own deck of cards of the Most Wanted movies on DVD, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, The Temple Of Doom and The Last Crusade would constitute the Ace of Spades, the Ace of Hearts and the Ace of Diamonds, respectively. Only one other set of movies is more highly sought after, the original Star Wars trilogy, but that demand has waned with the release of the new trilogy on DVD a certain precursor to the original trilogy's release.

The Indiana Jones trilogy is the Holy Grail to DVD, both figuratively and literally. And from the early word, it won't disappoint. The Adventures Of Indiana Jones - The Complete DVD Movie Collection will contain four discs. The first three discs will feature each movie, while the fourth disc will be stocked with plenty of bonus features. Not only will there be an extensive documentary about all three movies, but every aspect of the movie will be covered.

Jim Ward, Vice-President of Marketing at Lucasfilm explains, "The fourth disc explores every facet of how the films were made - from stunts to visual effects to the music and sound. We take viewers around the world to explore the history behind the Indiana Jones legends."

The collection will be available in both Full-Screen and Widescreen versions, but the individual movies will not be available for individual purchase. There's no suggested retail on the set, but comparable title gift sets have gone for $49.95.
