Meg Ryan is going to Cannes

No, the blonde-hair, blue-eyed bombshell isn't traveling to the South of France to debut a new movie, Meg Ryan is joining the prestigious Cannes Film Festival jury. The jury is made up of nine industry representatives from all parts of the globe and they are the sole ones responsible for picking the winners, including the coveted Palme d'Or award for the top picture of the festival.

Joining Meg on the jury are Ocean's Eleven director Steven Soderbergh, French filmmaker Patrice Chereau, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, French actors Jean Rochefort and Karin Viard, Italian writer Erri de Luca, Bosnian director Danis Tanovic, and Chinese director Jiang Wen. The festival is set to run from May 14 to May 25.
