A local high school teacher in Illinois has filed a class-action lawsuit against Loews Cinemas claiming that their new ads before the movie policy is a deceptive business practice. And, as anyone who's been to a movie recently can acknowledge, she just might have a leg to stand on.

The onslaught of ads at the movie theaters started harmlessly enough. First, there was a Coke ad, which makes sense and is reminiscent of those quirky drive-in theater ads suggesting a trip to the snack bar. And then those annoying Fandango ads hit, which were obnoxious, but forgivable since they advertise a new and useful tool for movie goers. But now, with Army and car ads, has movie theater adverstising gone too far?

Only time will tell...
