Renee Says 'OK' To Bridget And The Weight

The prognosis of the sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary in the past year has fluctuated much like the weight that lead Renee Zellweger had to pile on to play Bridget. But now, the star who spoke out vehemently against putting on the weight for the sequel has had a change of heart. "I'm ready, willing and able. Bridget's a character I really identify with. I'll put the weight back on with pleasure."

Of course, all this nice rhetoric might be just that. The writer of the sequel seems to think that Renee might be spared the horror of actually having to gain weight. "This time the script doesn't require her to bulk up all that much. The plot involves her doing time in a Thai jail, which means she actually has to lose weight."

And after getting back her girlish figure once the first movie wrapped, we all know she's an expert as weight loss...
