George Clooney To Woo 'Bridget Jones'

Ever since they announced that they were doing a seqeul to Bridget Jones's Diary, devout followers of the original books have been faced with a quandary. In the book sequel, the heroine, played by Renee Zellweger, gets flustered when she has to interview the dashing Colin Firth. The problem is that Firth was cast in the original as the love interest and he returns for the sequel.

No problem, say producers. Enter George Clooney. With a little creative re-writing, Clooney will replace Firth as the cause of Bridget's unnerving. What makes this casting even more intriguing is the fact that Zellweger and Clooney are old love birds.

Perhaps, some of those nervous scenes won't be so "fake" afterall..
