Fox Wants 'Idol' On The Big Screen

'American Idol' gave Fox the television ratings it has so long awaited and now the studio hopes to rake it in on the big screen too.

Studio executives and 'Idol' creator Simon Fuller both expressed a strong interest in collaborating on this project.

"I am happy to extend my relationship with Fox and News Corp. I'm also looking forward to working with my brother Kim Fuller and repeating the success we had together with Spice World," Fuller said.

The feature will star winner Kelly Clarkson and runner-up Justin Guarini, stretching that 15 minutes of fame.
