Michael Madsen Scores Bond Hat Trick

Veteran character actor Michael Madsen is better known for his roles in gritty, independent pictures rather than huge blockbusters, but that image may soon change. Madsen has been cast in the latest James Bond movie Die Another Day as secret agent Damian Falco.

While Madsen has had brushes with stardom before (Reservoir Dogs, Species), this time it might stick. MGM has optioned Madsen for two more Bond pictures after this latest adventure. Apparently, Falco will have a recurring partner/associate role with Bond.

Die Another Day is due in theaters November 22.
