Alan Cumming Snags Role In X-Men 2

Veteran character actor Alan Cumming has been signed to portray a new X-Men hero in the feature length sequel X2, due in theaters next Summer. Cumming is set to bring Nightcrawler to life on the big screen.

Nightcrawler is a Mutant with a mysterious past that ultimately may lead back to baddies Mystique and Sabretooth. A blueish, elf-like character, Nightcrawler is known for his teleportation powers and his deep religious beliefs off the battle field.
