'Indiana Jones' Cracking His Whip For Another Movie

Indiana Jones 4 has been in limbo for the last decade, but it looks as though the ice is melting, and fast. First, all of the principals (Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg and George Lucas) involved have cleared their slates to make room for Indiana Jones 4. Next, it was announced that a writer has been brought in to hammer out the script.

The next little nugget that slipped was that all of Indy's former love interests will be appearing in the new film. Which means that Karen Allen and Kate Capshaw will be involved in some fashion. There's even rumors that Lucas' Queen Natalie Portman is being considered for a role, some say as Indy's daughter. Sean Connery didn't want to be left out and he was the next to chime up stating that he would indeed return as Indy's father.

And finally, perhaps the biggest news of them all. Paramount is targeting Indiana Jones 4 for a July 2, 2004 release. Although, it's conceivable that delays could push the movie back to the same weekend in 2005.
