David Fincher Takes Over The 'Mission: Impossible' Reins

The Mission: Impossible franchise welcomes a new director for the third installment with the announcement that David Fincher will direct Mission: Impossible 3. Fincher, who seemingly can't miss in Hollywood, is currently enjoying the success of his latest movie, Panic Room.

The first movie was directed by Brian De Palma, while Mission: Impossible 2 was directed by John Woo. Tom Cruise is still attached to star in the latest effort. Previous films by Fincher include Fight Club, Seven, and The Game.
