UPDATE: 'Goldmember' Lives To Shag Another Day

We broke the news earlier this week and today New Line made it official. They've been given permission by MGM to use the title Austin Powers In Goldmember for its third offering in the Austin Powers franchise.

Details of the arrangement were not immediately made public, but you can bet that New Line made a few concessions that we're sure to see in the coming months. It should also be noted that the agreement only covers this particular title and movie. New Line would have to get permission should they desire to spoof another James Bond title in the future.
