Kevin Costner Returns To The Director's Chair

It's been five years since Kevin Costner sat behind the camera calling the shots, but the streak will soon come to an end. It was announced this week that Costner will wear many hats on his next project. Not only will he star in the film, but he'll produce, as well as direct.

The project in question is Open Range, a Western that explores the relationships between four men who try to make a living in the Old West. Robert Duvall is already being pursued to portray one of the remaining three men.

So far, Kevin's batting .500 when it comes to the triple play of acting/producing/directing. He won a pair of Oscars (Best Director, Best Picture) for 1991's Dances With Wolves. While, he struck out completely with 1997's The Postman.
