Columbia Moves On 'Knowing'

Columbia recently hired a writer to work on one of its more interesting movie ideas. Richard Kelly, the man behind the intriguing Donnie Darko, has been tapped to write the screenplay and direct Knowing.

Knowing tells the story of a man who discovers a time capsule buried in the 1950s. Upon opening it, he finds that the capsule contains a bunch of children's paintings meant to predict the future. The paintings of one child draw special interest from the man since several of the horrible events that he drew have come true. Now, the man must try and prevent the major catastrophe that the child predicted would happen any time now.
