Journalist Eve Drake is writing an article on motorcycle racing and is powerfully attracted to daredevil champion "Dusty" Weston. But after witnessing the ruthless Dusty send several drivers to the hospital, she becomes disenchanted. Eve begins to date Dusty's pal, master cycle designer Chris Rhodes. The former friends fight over Eve, and when they part ways, find themselves as adversaries in a major race. They bitterly compete for victory at lightning speeds, where the slightest slip-up could be deadly.
