Liliana is a struggling young model with a insatiable hunger to succeed. She gets more than she bargained for when she falsely claims to have been sexually assaulted and robbed. Playing to a salacious media eager for juicy stories, Liliana soon finds herself a celebrity at the center of a cyclone of publicity that supercharges her career. A mad swirl of sex, booze, and partying follows, as Liliana revels in her new-found fame. The deception backfires when three innocent men are arrested and imprisoned for the alleged rape and robbery. Liliana has no intention of recanting her story until her conscience is awakened by Anna, the wife of one of the convicted men.
Voluptuous Virna Lisi was one of a bevy of exotic women who dominated European cinema during the Sixties and Seventies. Like her contemporaries, Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Jeanne Moreau, and Brigitte Bardot, she excited U.S. audiences hungry for new sex goddesses in the years following the untimely deaths of Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield.
